Recently, the Carbon Materials Testing Center of Shanxi Juxian Graphite New Materials Co., Ltd. successfully passed the rigorous assessment conducted by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and was officially awarded the National Accredited Laboratory Certificate (Registration No.: CNASL25677). The accreditation is valid from April 14, 2026, to April 13, 2032, marking the center’s inclusion in the ranks of nationally accredited laboratories. This achievement signifies that the Juxian Graphite Carbon Materials Testing Center has established a quality management system compliant with international standards, with its laboratory facilities, testing capabilities, and management practices all meeting the requirements of internationally recognized accreditation criteria.

CNAS is an accreditation body established and designated by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA) in accordance with the Regulations on Certification and Accreditation of the People’s Republic of China. It centrally administers the accreditation of certification bodies, laboratories, inspection bodies, and other relevant organizations. CNAS is the sole official authority in China responsible for implementing ISO/IEC 15189 accreditation, and it is a signatory to the mutual recognition agreements of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the Asia-Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APAC). Its accreditation activities have been integrated into the international mutual recognition framework, securing a prominent position within the global accreditation system. ISO/IEC 15189 accreditation serves as a key indicator of the standardization, internationalization, and harmonization of laboratory management and technical competence.

To further enhance the professional capabilities of the Juxian Graphite and Carbon Materials Testing Center, the company proactively applied for CNAS accreditation. Since launching the CNAS accreditation process in May 2025, we have attached great importance to this endeavor, meticulously planned every step, and rigorously adhered to relevant standards, including CNAS‑CL01 “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories,” CNAS‑CL01‑A019 “Application Guidelines for the General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories in the Field of Software Testing,” and CNAS‑CL01‑G001 “Requirements for the Application of the General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.” In accordance with these requirements, we established a laboratory quality management system, issued a quality manual and procedural documents, and carried out systematic upgrades and standardization across all aspects of the laboratory’s management system, technical workflows, personnel competencies, and equipment and environmental conditions. Following stages such as preliminary application, formal application, document review, on-site assessment, and corrective action verification, the expert review panel unanimously concluded that the Juxian Graphite and Carbon Materials Testing Center meets the CNAS accreditation criteria in terms of its quality management system, technical competence, and mechanisms for continuous improvement. Based on this evaluation, CNAS has granted the Juxian Graphite and Carbon Materials Testing Center CNAS accreditation, with an accredited scope covering carbon materials and graphite/carbon products, as well as parameters including ash content, true density, powder resistivity, total sulfur content, volatile matter, bulk density, electrical resistivity, flexural strength, elastic modulus, coefficient of thermal expansion, and the softening point, coking value, and ash content of pitch.

Obtaining CNAS accreditation means that the test reports issued by Juxian Graphite Laboratory enjoy high credibility within China and are widely recognized internationally, being accepted in all countries and regions that have signed mutual recognition agreements. This significantly enhances the credibility and authority of Juxian Graphite’s product testing, providing robust technical support for raw material inspection, process control, product release, and the expansion of international business. It will further ensure product quality, strengthen the company’s R&D capabilities, and bolster customer confidence and trust.
