Abstract

Juxian Graphite has been shortlisted for the "Shanxi Boutique" application and has officially launched the process of applying for National Laboratory Accreditation (CNAS).

Strongly qualified for the "Shanxi Boutique" application

Recently, good news came from the selection process for "Shanxi Boutique" applications: Shanxi Juxian Graphite New Materials Co., Ltd. has successfully made the shortlist thanks to its strong technological foundation and superior quality in the high-end carbon sector. This marks the company as another leading enterprise in brand-building within Jiexiu's specialized carbon industry, highlighting the robust momentum of Shanxi's carbon industry as it transitions toward higher-quality development.

The success of our premium product application was no accident—it is the result of the company’s sustained commitment to deepening innovation and building expertise over time. As a standing director unit of the China Carbon Industry Association and the chairman unit of the Jiexiu City Carbon Industry Association, Juxian Graphite has focused on core products such as Ф700mm ultra-high-power graphite electrodes, establishing a comprehensive production capacity of 150,000 tons per year. Our products are widely exported to global markets, including Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia, earning high praise from major steel companies both domestically and internationally.

Behind its hardcore quality lies the solid backing of technological innovation. In recent years, the company has continuously ramped up R&D investments and established industry-academia-research collaboration platforms with Beijing University of Science and Technology and Hunan University. As a result, it has collectively secured 8 invention patents and 13 utility model patents, while also leading or participating in the development of 8 national standards and 5 industry standards—effectively using its technical expertise to set new benchmarks for the industry. From being recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise to earning the title of Shanxi Province’s “Specialized, Fine, and New” Little Giant Enterprise, and from becoming a technology leader in Jinzhong City to being designated as a provincial-level Green Factory, these prestigious accolades underscore the company’s successful transformation toward "technology-driven growth and sustainable, eco-friendly development."

As a leading force in Jiexiu's carbon industry, Juxian Graphite's strong inclusion this time not only signifies a further enhancement of the company's brand value but also serves as a microcosm of Shanxi's carbon industry upgrading. Leveraging Shanxi Province's cultivation and support for the "Shanxi Boutique" public brand, the company will continue to unleash its innovative potential and achieve sustained breakthroughs in the high-end carbon materials sector.

In the future, Juxian Graphite aims to leverage "Shanxi Excellence" as a stepping stone, enabling more high-quality Shanxi-made carbon products to shine on the global stage and injecting fresh momentum into the transformation of Shanxi's traditional industries.

Officially launching the application process for National Laboratory Accreditation (CNAS)

To comprehensively enhance its testing capabilities and management standards, and to strengthen the company's core competitiveness, Shanxi Juxian Graphite New Materials Co., Ltd. recently officially launched the application process for National Laboratory Accreditation (CNAS), while simultaneously initiating thorough preparations for the preliminary certification documentation.

This application for national laboratory accreditation marks a new milestone for Juxian Graphite in building its quality management system. Guided by CNAS-CL01:2018 and adhering to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard, "General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories," the company will comprehensively review and optimize its laboratory management framework. This ensures the scientific rigor, accuracy, and traceability of testing results, enabling us to deliver more reliable and trustworthy technical services to our clients.

During the preliminary preparation phase, the company established a dedicated task force led by the Technology Center, with close collaboration from all other centers, to systematically advance the organization of documentation and the development of its quality management system. The initiatives include: - **Refining the Quality Management System Documents**: In line with CNAS accreditation requirements, the company has completed the drafting and revision of key system documents, such as the Quality Manual, procedural documents, and work instruction manuals. These documents clearly define the company’s quality policies and objectives, while standardizing all testing procedures and management practices. - **Strengthening Personnel Technical Records**: The company has created comprehensive individual employee files for all testing and technical staff, covering essential details such as educational qualifications, professional title certifications, training records, performance evaluations, and certification for specific job roles. This ensures that each employee’s competencies align precisely with their respective positions. - **Improving Equipment and Facility Management**: A complete inventory of instruments and equipment has been established, along with an annual calibration and verification plan. Regular interim checks are implemented to maintain accuracy, and critical areas—such as the balance room, asphalt analysis lab, and raw material testing room—have been equipped with advanced temperature and humidity monitoring systems, guaranteeing that environmental conditions consistently meet stringent testing standards. - **Enhancing Sample and Record Management**: A robust, end-to-end management system has been put in place for sample handling—from receipt and identification through storage and disposal. Standardized formats have been adopted for original test records, ensuring that all information is complete, accurate, and fully traceable. All records are now managed under strict controlled conditions. - **Preparing for Proficiency Testing and Interlaboratory Comparisons**: The company actively participates in interlaboratory comparison exercises and proficiency testing programs within the industry. By analyzing the results of these activities, the lab continuously validates and strengthens its technical capabilities. - **Conducting Internal Audits and Management Reviews**: An annual schedule for internal audits and management reviews has been developed and executed, providing a thorough assessment of the system’s operational effectiveness. These reviews lay a solid foundation for upcoming external evaluations, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

In addition, the Juxian Graphite Technology Center has thoroughly reviewed and screened the current valid testing standards, verifying to ensure that all methods are in their latest versions.

Currently, all preliminary preparations are progressing smoothly according to plan, and we expect to formally submit the application materials to the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) in the near future, kicking off the evaluation process.
