From November 25th to 26th, 2024, the Carbon Materials Sub-Technical Committee of the National Steel Standards Committee organized experts to hold a national standard dissemination meeting and carbon standard review meeting in Wuhan. Ju Xian Graphite was invited to participate in the carbon standard review meeting. The meeting was attended by more than 30 experts from the China Carbon Association, the Metallurgical Industry Information and Standards Research Institute, the National Graphite Quality Inspection Center, Guiyang Aluminum and Magnesium Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., Fangda Carbon New Materials Science and Technology Co., Ltd., and other enterprises and research institutions. Dong Zengliang, factory director of Ju Xian Graphite's machining plant and executive deputy director of the technical center, and Ma Wei, deputy director of the technical center, attended the meeting as representatives of the group.

The meeting was chaired by the secretariat of the Carbon Materials Sub-Technical Committee of the National Steel Standards Committee. First, Guiyang Aluminum and Magnesium Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., the main drafting unit of the national standard GB/T 32151.34-2024 "Requirements for Greenhouse Gas Emission Accounting and Reporting, Part 34: Carbon Material Production Enterprises," gave an interpretation of the background, purpose, and content of the standard.

Climate change caused by human activities is widely recognized as one of the greatest challenges facing the world and will continue to affect humanity and its related activities for decades to come. Climate change impacts human and natural systems and will have significant implications for resource availability, economic activity, and human well-being. Relevant international organizations, countries, and regions are developing and implementing international, regional, national, and local greenhouse gas emission management programs to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) concentrations in the Earth's atmosphere and help humanity adapt to climate change. Standard development helps to translate this scientific knowledge into tools to address climate change. Standards specify the greenhouse gas emission accounting boundaries, accounting and reporting scope, accounting procedures and methods, data quality management, reporting content and format for different types of enterprises. Through the dissemination and learning of the standard, the understanding and application of the standard have been further promoted.

The attending experts also reviewed and approved two industry standards: "Test Method for Thermal Shock Resistance of Blast Furnace Coke" and "Graphite Fiber Felt Sheet"; two group standards: "Green Design Product Evaluation Technical Specification Ultra-high Power Graphite Electrode" and "Quality Grading and "Leader" Evaluation Requirements Graphite Electrode"; and two national standard foreign language versions: "Test Method for Surface Roughness of Carbon Materials (Foreign Language Version)" and "Fatigue Test of Carbon Materials Axial Force Control Method (Foreign Language Version)". Among them, the two group standards, "Green Design Product Evaluation Technical Specification Ultra-high Power Graphite Electrode" and "Quality Grading and "Leader" Evaluation Requirements Graphite Electrode", revised key indicators in the standard based on the actual production data and usage experience of China's products. Ju Xian Graphite participated in the formulation of two of these group standards.
