On November 20, Ju Xian Graphite was invited to participate in the China Carbon Industry Statistics and Carbon Emission Calculation Training Conference. The meeting mainly reported on the production and operation of the carbon industry in 2024; summarized the completion of the 2023 carbon industry statistical yearbook and the 2024 regular reports; and announced the assessment of the carbon industry statistics work and arranged the 2024 carbon industry statistical yearbook and the 2025 regular statistical report work.

The meeting pointed out that although the carbon industry is currently in a downturn, carbon materials are irreplaceable by any metal or non-metal materials in many applications, and also play a role in promoting carbon reduction and emission reduction for downstream users. With the advancement of the dual carbon goals, the steel industry, as a major carbon emitter, must significantly increase the proportion of electric arc furnace steelmaking or increase direct reduced iron (hydrogen metallurgy) electric furnace steelmaking. The dual carbon goals force a rapid increase in the proportion of electric furnace steelmaking. It is evident that the demand for graphite electrodes will steadily increase, or even significantly increase. Finally, the association organized everyone to learn about the "Requirements for Greenhouse Gas Emission Accounting and Reporting" and carbon footprint analysis and evaluation.

With the advancement of the dual carbon goals, the development space for new energy is vast. The rapid development of new energy will greatly drive the demand and supply of carbon materials (including special carbon materials, carbon fiber composite materials, graphite anodes, etc.), and play a huge role in energy conservation and emission reduction for other industries. In the difficult economic environment of economic recovery, we must accurately judge the situation, forge ahead, and also see the light and maintain strategic determination in order to achieve high-quality and sustainable development. The carbon industry should make greater contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and to the national strategy.
