Juxian Graphite Machinery Branch launched a "Post Skill Training and Competition" activity
To enhance the professional skills of frontline employees and the organizational management and coordination abilities of middle managers, the Machining Plant recently organized a skills competition themed "Promoting Learning through Competition to Strengthen Skills, and Promoting Application through Learning to Hone Elite Soldiers." This competition, using the methods of training and empowerment through competition, not only provided a platform for employees to exchange skills and experiences, but also allowed them to deepen their professional understanding and improve operational precision, injecting strong impetus into the high-quality development of the Machining Plant.
This event centered on "Job Competition, Precise Improvement," focusing on promoting the deep integration of theory and practice. During the preparation period, frontline employees proactively addressed shortcomings in their job skills. They systematically reviewed company regulations, product process standards, and other content related to the theoretical examination. In the practical operation phase, they repeatedly practiced key processes such as CNC machining, equipment debugging, and hoisting and pre-installation. Their professional knowledge system and practical skills improved significantly. During the practical operation, employees focused on operational details, striving for standardization and efficiency in every step, from the standardization of tool installation and the precision of product processing to the rigor of product dimension measurement. Middle managers participated throughout the event's planning and process control, observing closely and establishing targeted assessment standards based on the characteristics of each position. They monitored key nodes in the operational process. For problems encountered during employee operations, they provided one-on-one guidance on the spot, promptly pointing out deficiencies and demonstrating standard operating procedures to help employees correct their actions and optimize processes. At the same time, middle managers honed their organizational management and emergency response capabilities in practice, refining plans and meticulously deploying process details with a high degree of responsibility and professional competence to ensure the efficient progress of the event.
To ensure fairness and impartiality, participants were divided into 5 groups of 4 people each through a lottery before the competition. Each group achieved a balanced match in terms of skill level and work experience. The competition adopted a dual assessment of "theory + practice," with the practical operation phase emphasizing "comparing each position, precise assessment." Group members, based on their respective positions, participated in specialized projects such as CNC machining precision competition, equipment rapid debugging challenges, and product inspection standard execution. This assessed both the proficiency of core skills in their positions and the coordination among different processes. The final score was calculated based on a ratio of "theory 40% + practice 60%".
After fierce competition, Wang Hao, Qu Shiliang, Liu Hongyan, Chen Haijun, and Du Jingyun won first prizes; Geng Xiaohui, Dong Penghui, Chen Rui, Chen Tao, and Gong Haichao won second prizes; and Zhang Ji, Luo Cunfu, Feng Biaogui, Cheng Weiguo, and Zhang Shuming won third prizes. The plant manager and deputy plant manager presented certificates and souvenirs to the winners, took commemorative photos, and used an incentive mechanism of "encouraging the advanced to drive everyone" to further create an atmosphere of "focusing on positions to hone skills, and cooperating to create achievements" in the Machining Plant.
We sincerely hope that all employees of Juxian Graphite—Machining Plant will take the award winners of this technical competition as role models and use this competition as an opportunity to actively participate in various skill improvement activities organized by the plant. They should treat the competition as a "training ground" for self-improvement, identifying gaps and addressing shortcomings in the competition, and learning from and strengthening their abilities through exchanges. More importantly, they should continuously improve their professional standards in their daily work, integrating the rigorous attitude and professional skills learned in the competition into their daily work, continuously honing their skills and improving their abilities to achieve breakthroughs in their positions. Let us take this event as a new starting point, jointly building a growth atmosphere of "comparing, learning, catching up, and surpassing" in the Machining Plant, deepening the virtuous cycle of "promoting learning through competition, improving abilities through learning, and increasing efficiency through abilities," and injecting continuous vitality into continuously improving production efficiency and product quality and building a professional talent team.
